Day 1: Arrival in Sri Lanka – Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage

Your Sri Lanka 5 Days Sightseeing Tour begins with your arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport. A representative from PL SRI LANKA TOURS will warmly welcome you and assist you in boarding your private vehicle to Pinnawala, our first destination.


Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is a must-see attraction where you can encounter world’s largest herd of captive elephants. Established in 1975 by the Department of Wildlife Conservation, this facility rescues and raises orphaned elephants.


Enjoy the unique experience of observing elephants being bottle-fed and bathing in the nearby river, especially during feeding times between 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. This scenic spot offers unforgettable moments with these majestic animals.


Afterward, check in to your hotel (Hotel Elephant Park) and spend the rest of the evening relaxing or exploring the tranquil surroundings of Pinnawala.

Day 2: Kandy to Sigiriya – Explore Historical Wonders

After breakfast, your day begins with a scenic drive to the historic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Along the way, we’ll stop at:

  • Muthumariamman Hindu Temple in Matale: A colorful, sacred temple dedicated to Goddess Mariamman, the patroness of rain and fertility. This cultural icon attracts both Hindus and Buddhists alike and is famous for its annual chariot festival in March.
  • Matale Spice Garden: Learn about the significance of Sri Lanka's spices in cuisine, cosmetics, and traditional medicine.


Arriving at Sigiriya Rock, you’ll explore this ancient fortress built by King Kashyapa. Climb the iconic Lion Rock to admire the breathtaking views, ancient frescoes, and fascinating ruins of the royal palace.


Next, visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, also known as the Golden Temple. This awe-inspiring cave complex boasts over 150 Buddha statues and intricately painted murals. The history and spiritual significance of this temple will leave you in awe.


Return to Kandy in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

Start your morning with a visit to the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic in Kandy. This UNESCO-listed temple houses a sacred tooth relic of Buddha and holds immense spiritual importance for Buddhists worldwide.


Then, explore Kandy Lake, a serene spot perfect for a relaxing stroll, followed by a trip to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. With over 4,000 species of plants, this garden is a paradise for nature enthusiasts.


On your journey to Nuwara Eliya, visit:

  • Ramboda Falls: A picturesque 109-meter-tall waterfall surrounded by lush greenery.
  • Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden: Learn about Sri Lanka’s world-famous tea industry while enjoying a fresh cup of tea.


Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, often referred to as “Little England” for its colonial charm. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the cool climate and peaceful ambiance of this hill country town.

Day 4: Nuwara Eliya to Negombo – Coastal Escape

After breakfast, explore the highlights of Nuwara Eliya, including a visit to Gregory Lake, where you can take a leisurely walk or even enjoy a boat ride. Drive past picturesque tea plantations and rolling hills as you begin your journey back to the coast.


Arrive in Negombo and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the famous Negombo Beach, lined with palm trees and fishing boats. The town is known for its vibrant local markets, seafood restaurants, and Dutch-era canals. Relax and enjoy your last night in Sri Lanka.

Day 5: Negombo – Airport Drop-off
